A gentle, lightly scented emulsified oil cleansing balm to remove impurities, melt and absorb oil, and cleanse the skin. It can be used as a stand-alone cleanser, as part of a two-step cleansing method followed by a foaming facial cleanser, or as a makeup removing balm. Made with a base of organic castor bean oil, organic meadow foam oil, golden jojoba oil, and organic sunflower oil infused with wild harvested spruce tips, western red cedar leaf, and grand and pacific silver fir needles, raw Vancouver Island beeswax, and wild crafted grand fir resin extracted in organic virgin olive oil.
The addition of cera bellina wax imparts a smooth, gel-like texture, and the use of a natural, ECOCERT certified emulsifier transforms this cleansing balm to a milky cream when water touches it, enabling better and easier rinse off. ORGANIC CASTOR BEAN OIL: Contains humectant (helpful in preventing the loss of skin moisture) properties to draw moisture from the air into the skin. Contains triglycerides which are helpful in removing dirt from the skin. ORGANIC MEADOWFOAM OIL: Emollient, keeps skin soft and supple, balances sebum production GOLDEN JOJOBA OIL: Nonallergenic wax-like oil with a chemical composition closest to sebum produced naturally by our skin and highly effective cleansing abilities. GRAND FIR RESIN: Antiseptic and antifungal properties to help heal wounds, prevent infection and cleanse the skin of harmful bacteria WESTERN RED CEDAR LEAF: powerful astringent and cleanser that is very good at removing oil.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: With clean, dry hands, remove 1/2 teaspoon from the jar and close the lid to ensure no water enters the jar. Rub hands together to soften the balm and then apply to entire face (and neck if desired). Gently massage in a circular motion for 2-5 minutes. You may begin to feel small grains on your skin, and this is simply small particles being dislodged from pores. Once you have finished massaging, wet your hands and continue to massage in a circular motion. The balm will begin to change from clear to white and it ready to be removed. Wipe off with a warm, clean damp facial washcloth, or rinse with clean, warm water. This balm can be used alone, or followed by a second foaming cleanser if desired. 1oz recyclable/reusable glass jar w/ metal lid.
