In Karesuando we make knives that are adapted to our nature with harsh, arctic climate, northern lights and midnight sun.
We make genuine products that are shaped by centuries-old craft traditions and nature’s raw materials. A craft beyond the ordinary. It is in our origin and our traditions that we derive our momentum and inspiration.
Our knives are made with over 40 years of design experience. Our product crew has, with their skilled knife making experience, crafted over 200.000 knives and additionally to that, over 1 million of single blades. That´s years and years of working with and learning about the materials, trying different designs and figuring out why stuff works or doesn´t work. Our company is more than 40 years old now. We are who we are, and we make what we make; a lot people love that, and for that we are eternally grateful.
250 km north of the Arctic Circle, on the same latitude as central Greenland and the northernmost parts of Canada, is the village of Karesuando. The village got its first permanent settlement in 1670. The reindeer herd is one of the area’s largest industries and Karesuando is located in the Könkämä Sami village’s reindeer husbandry area.
The most important thing about our knives is that we make all the details of the knives ourselves in our factory, which is why we dare to promise you a 10-year warranty on materials or manufacturing defects on all our knives.
We do have an expansive variety of people who are our customers.
