A long time ago, in 2019, we whipped up a special one-time batch of spice rub to sell at one of our favorite events, the Salmonfest music festival. To get your hands on a jar of the ‘Festy Salmon Rub (oh man, so clever.) you had to physically be in either the small towns of Ninilchik or Homer, Alaska. And when it was gone, it was gone. Until now.

Once a limited edition rub made to celebrate salmon, this sweet and spicy blend isn’t just back, it’s back for good! (I mean, we hope. That’s kinda on you.)

Introducing* the first Spit Spice flav, Salmon Belly Rub! Enjoy it all the time, on all the things! Perfect for that fillet in the freezer and just as tasty on grilled pork chops or buttered popcorn. #spitspice

This small-batch spice blend is made with hand-harvested Alaskan sea salt.

INGREDIENTS: organic cane sugar, Spit Salt (sea salt), black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, raw cacao, ginger, onion powder, garlic powder, fennel.


Harvesting sea salt from Kachemak Bay in Homer, Alaska, is just a small part of what we do at Alaska Salt Co.
